Okay, so you work on the web, you do design, programming, marketing or whatever, but it's your business. What do you do? Sell it to us!
(I'll go in the comments :-)

We make websites work better :-)
Okay, so you make websites, what's next?
Where are you taking your business? Will you be having your 3rd child and still be making websites work and making them pretty?

I didn't think "selling" required such things. From my own personal experience, things that most people say when describing their work get forgotten anyway.

You're right, but I'm curious (and can't edit my original note ;).
We're ~all quick to criticize the web2.0 vapourware - you know, the type with the fluffy or non-existent business plans - so I'm curious how many of us have one for our business?

I sell gourmet candles and soaps and I market my business and products online via article marketing, blogging, ebooks, ecourses, posting to forums, myspace and pretty much anything else I can get to get more website traffic.

I'm the Artistic Outlaw, I handcraft web-sites from the ground up, think Norm Abram with Photoshop and Textmate :)
I started Onelotus Creative officially and professionally in June of 2003, and have been self-sustaining and successful since October of 2003, but had been designing since April 2001. I have many plans to take my business to the next level of success, including a new branding and relaunch of the core site.
My business has been 100% word of mouth, and I let my portfolio do most of the talking.

I'm not a prefessional designer or developer (unfortunately I have to serve civilian service at the moment). But I spend a lot of my freetime with programing and designing websites and web applications, like blogs, content management systems or communities for me, friends or other people.

I envy everyone who has a job doing design...but I'm actually a remote tech support/keyboard slave.
