Just curious what (if any) summer goals you have for 2007. I am looking to save for a new house and take a nice long break down at the Atlantis, Paradise Island. Of course my goals conflict with each other :-) Aside from that I look to spend a good deal of time out on Lake Ontario fishing and hitting the links at my local country club. Let me know when you want to play a round Rundle. Hope you can handle the blues ;-)

I'd like to design a website and get paid for it. Seems like it would be easy, no?

I'm glad you brought this up. Summer is the least goal-oriented time for me, because it's when my children are on vacation and we're all hanging out and having fun. Still, we're doing a big trip in June, and during that trip I want to be sure to check out some things to use in the next thing I write. So my goal is to stay focussed enough to take advantage of being in those places and write things down I can use for later.

Dude you know I'm down for golf whenever, we just gotta plan a time to meetup. My game is nasty now, drawing every club PW through D, super consistent, driver is punching holes in the sky.
Goals for the summer: launch new 9rules stuff (and then the next new stuff too), pay for wedding, keep on my diet, play more golf.

Stay disciplined with my summer un-spending (that is, saving!) in order to budget for my European trip in mid- to late-September. Also, finish up my physical therapy and rehabilitation on my left shoulder with a bang and work on getting my full range back so I can get back to a regular physically-active routine. Visit the beach often.

Estarla - stay disciplined with spending is a good one! It is so easy to get out of control. I should talk after just dropping $500 on 3 new golf clubs.
Mike - if you get a chance, you have to hit the Taylor Made R7 (both driver and 3-wood). Totally nasty! My whole bag is Titleist except for those two clubs now. I am playing in a couple tournaments with Adam this year so wish us luck. Gotta win another trip to the Homestead!

Well, I just got a paying design job (fingers-crossed), so perhaps I'll actually be fulfilling my goal? :)

I definitely want to play more golf this summer. I didn't get out much at all last summer, so I'd like to get back in the groove.
I'd like to get out more in general this summer and start taking more breaks from work. I feel like that's all I do, so the weather will be a good excuse for me to get away from that.

If I don't set goals, I don't feel unproductive when I don't meet them. So I don't.
In fact, my one goal is to keep what I have. I wouldn't change a thing about where I am right now; I'm happier than I, perhaps, have ever been.
My only goal is to continue to be.

Not changing sounds so monotonous.
Don't get me wrong, I catch your drift, except I'd like to simply append "happy" to "My only goal is to continue to be [...]" and make no effort to stay the way I am.
In other words, I try only to set goals that I know won't make me unhappy if I fail to meet them, while maintaining flexibility to change as well :-)

My goals are:
o Read and advance my knowledge and love for economics.
o Advance my career by interviewing for a new position.
o Become independent and move out on my own.
And if I have any time left I would like to visit the good ole gym on some sort of a regular basis.

I don't set specific summer goals.
My ongoing goals are travel, reading, writing, sending artwork out to Juried Artshows, family sharing, exercising, and what ever else comes my way that intrigues or interests me.

- Open up shop as a designer again - I need me some money
- Learn the basics of photography and "leave" the summer with knowledge enough to produce photos
- Bump up the readership of my blog and make it more well-known and popular
