It seems we always hear about Apple and Google being innovative companies. But who else would you put on that list, regardless of industry, size or ownership status, and why?

I'll go with NASA. Hell where would we be as a nation without Velcro? As a child I had velcro strapped shoes, velcro on my pull-away basketball warmups, velcro on my baseball cap. Ahhh those were the days. =)

I would say facebook makes the list, as well as any other innovative internet start up. EBay.com and amazon.com also come to mind.

Apple and Google are definitely my top two
I'd add Virgin, Paypal/Ebay though they haven't done anything new in forever, Netflix.

Virgin, and Apple top my list...
Virgin is simply MIND BOGGLING to me... I have yet to see anything they've done and thought, "well THAT'S just dumb!"
