To those of you who invest in the market, I am curious to know you measure your performance come the end of the year?
Come January 1st, 2008, when you look back on the 2007 year, what would make you say "YES, this was a good year for me in the market" (i.e., "I beat the market averages", "I made 20% overall", "I didn't lose money", ect.)

I've made 10% so far and I must say I'm pretty satisfied, especially considering the troubled markets' conditions... Couldn't ask for more, really. My portfolio split is now:
- 38% shares
- 31% funds
- 19% bonds
- 5% insurance
- 5% ETF/certificates
- 2% cash
Best performing: tech/green stocks, UK/turkish bonds, energy certificates and asian market funds. What about you?!
