What websites, stats, programs do you check every morning or use to start the day?

Gmail, Thunderbird (3 other email addresses ), my blogs for comments, webhostingtalk, and then onto the blogosphere ...then adsense and other programs that pay :)

Gmail, my outlook for work, 9rules, Google news...

I make a point of not starting the day with my PC. I wait until I get to work and actually get some work done, then proceed with checking email and feeds. And that's it. I don't spend more than 30 mins with my feeds, in the morning, so I just check stuff I want to know about most and leave the rest for lunch time.

Steps to start the day:

  1. Move cat off feet
  2. Get out of bed
  3. Let dog out back
  4. Grind coffee and start the pot brewing
  5. Make bowl of cereal or oatmeal
  6. Let dog in, feed dog
  7. Pour coffee, read chapter in book, eat breakfast
  8. Pour more coffee
  9. Check email, put out any major fires
  10. Shower, shave, dress
  11. Begin work day
  12. Read and post on 9rules notes a while, read feeds
  13. (optional)Blog about something interesting
  14. Do Real Work

Wake up

Battle ensues to get the kids awake and dressed and to school

During the week:
Wake up to the iPod playing something.
Groan.
Hide under covers for a bit.
Get out of bed and turn off the iPod before my flatmate gets annoyed.
Turn on the Mac.
Make a cup of tea whilst it boots up and opens Thunderbird for email, my blog dashboard, 9rules.
Drink the cup of tea whilst clearing out the Akismet queue, responding to any comments, and reading 9rules Notes.
This normally takes about ten/15 minutes, so then I go back to bed, finish my cup of tea whilst I read a book and wait for the shower.

Weekend:
Wake up when I wake up.
Lie there seeing if I can sleep some more.
Give in and get up.
Boot up the Mac.
Make a cup of tea whilst it opens Thunderbird, my blog dashboard, 9rules, and Vienna.
As above with the added fun of going through the RSS feeds.

Gmail, 9rules Notes, Mint, and then the feeds.
