Do you prefer a desktop RSS reader or a web based reader like Google Reader or Bloglines??
I love my Vienna (desktop reader) but I move across at least two computers a day so it's hard to keep track of whats read and whats not. Do you guys have similar problems, and if you do whats your solution?

I used to use Bloglines but switched to Readers because it was faster, cleaner, and made me smile more.
I switch platforms, OSes, and computers enough I need a web-based reader for the sake of my sanity.

I use Sage. A firefox add-on :) It's pretty decent.

I adore Vienna. I did try Google Reader but gave up after five minutes of frustration - it just didn't work in the way I'd come to want things to work. That's probably more my fault that Reader's, but there you go.
A desktop reader works perfectly for me at the moment. I only read feeds at home, so I only have to worry about the one computer. It's also useful for those times I'm not connected via broadband: when it matters (i.e., pay-per-minute dial-up) I just have to log on, download the feeds, log off, and read at my leisure.

I've tried a lot of readers: Review: Feedreader, Google Reader, Bloglines, Thunderbird RSS Reader but I've been using Netvibes (web-based) for a while now and I love it: Review: Netvibes - RSS exhaustion

Netvibes sounds like fun -- someone else mentioned it this morning too. I use bloglines, except I never use it. It's too cluttered and overwhelming. (But that's probably my fault.)

I use NetNewsWire, which syncs through NewsGatorOnline. The best of both worlds, as far as I'm concerned: I can browse online (only in dire necessity) or on my desktop (which I strongly prefer).

I use FeedDemon that syncs with News Gator Online if I need it.

I've been using Netvibes for absolutely ages. Possibly from before the internet began.
It's wonderful and I view it just as I would a news site. It also has the added bonus of merely being a favourite icon and not another program cluttering my HDD.

I'm using Netvibes since
a, it's my current home page
b, it allows me to read up on all my friend's blogs from one convenient location
c, it allows me to check my email, and has a to do list right next to the email (to remind me when to stop reading other people's blogs and start work on my own)
Go netvibes. It rocks.

Bloglines.
I've tried to use Google reader but it doesn't seem to have the same feel and usability as Bloglines.
